Her family's Jackson Koehler Eagle Brewery was founded in Erie Pennsylvania in 1847 by her family. John Martin Magenau Jr. is the President and CEO of the brewery since its inception within Erie Pennsylvania in 1847 until 1978. Jacobs first began acting lessons at age 8 and continued to take sessions on Saturdays at Pittsburgh Playhouse. Mt. Jacobs and leaving Lebanon High School and moved to New York City in 2000. In New York City, she joined the Drama Division of Group 33. She graduated in 2004 with an undergraduate degree.
